Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
is the New Winning Formula for many Communities & their Local Farmers. It is a way to bring Communities and Farmers together, but the Benefits are much further reaching.
Consumers purchase vegetable boxes, which are replenished each week with the freshest, seasonal, locally grown produce available. Why is it so fresh? It is picked at peak maturity within 24 hours of when you receive your box! In the conventional produce supply chain, it is very difficult to offer such advantages.
For this extra level of quality and freshness, members in turn pay for their produce 4 weeks in advance, helping farmers cover some of the costs of growing their food. It is a great way to support local agriculture, local economies, protect the environment by shortening food transportation time, and eat healthier, too!
